My family used to go to photo studios for traditional style posed pictures when I was little. As a kid, I didn’t really enjoy that kind of photo session when growing up. I still appreciate my parents for having the effort to have those pictures, but as I didn’t really enjoy that kind of session, my style is more in the flow instead of freezing your smile for me. I like capturing the real moment and smiles with kid’s curiosity and love.

After you contact us through this website, we will ask you if you would like to come over to our studio for our free consultation.
We meet all clients before booking. Basically, we would like to hear what kind of pictures you are looking for and I often ask about your children. Communicating well with your kids is the most important thing to keep the family photo session fun! I usually ask about their nap time, things they like, and just general information.
I take pictures a lot with babies and kids along with the family, so I think I know most of their stages at each age, but everyone is different. At this consultation, we can get to know each other! If you know we are your photographer at the consultation, we will also talk about the place you would like to take family pictures. We have a few places we like to go for the session, and you are more than welcome to tell us where you would like.
BRING YOUR SMILE TO YOUR PORTRAIT SESSION!
On your family session day, we ask you to coordinate the color or theme of your family members’ outfits! I know it is hard! However, please do not stress out for it. Even if you think you are not coordinating well enough, moms always do great job with it! No worries! Our Portland family session takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, so don’t get tired beforehand choosing clothes! We will bring bubble machines, which kids usually love, balloons and some props if any specific pictures are requested. To parents, I will ask them to play with their kids the same as usual. For some photos, I will get their attention, but I just want you to be yourself in front of the camera.
MAKING EVERLASTING TREASURE FOR YOUR FAMILY!
After the photo session, we will edit pictures for you. It takes about 2 weeks. We will invite you to our studio again to show the images in a slideshow made just for you. It is also the opportunity for you to purchase the products and images. We will help our clients choose the best way to have those images as their treasure!
